This was a portable clay extruder that I made for extruding various profiles out of clay for my ceramics projects. The extruder consists of a modified caulk gun and uses a pvc tube, fittings and 3D printed dies. I used this extruder primarily in the semesters when I wasn’t taking a ceramics class and lacked access to a studio that had an extruder. Utilizing this extruder I was capable of extruding really thin tubes that I used to create various ceramic musical instruments, primarily flutes and recorders.
