This was a birthday cake I made for a friend who requested a Lord of the Rings themed cake. This cake was modeled after the capital of Gondor, Minas Tirith, a grand fortified city built into the side of a mountain.

The interior is a dark chocolate fudge cake with milk chocolate ganache. The exterior of the cake is fondant, some pieces were airbrushed with food coloring to give it a stone look.
